GS-CHV30 marine cylinder oil is refined from deeply refined mineral oil and unique compound additives with high base number.
Function:
-Lubrication: an oil film is formed between the piston and the cylinder wall, which reduces friction and wear and ensures the normal operation of the engine.
-Sealing function: it helps to seal the combustion chamber, prevent gas leakage and improve the efficiency of the engine.
-Cooling function: it can take away some heat, help the engine to dissipate heat and prevent the parts from overheating.
-Cleaning function: it can disperse or clean the impurities such as carbon deposit and sludge produced in the combustion process, and keep the cylinder clean.
Performance requirements:
–High base number: The fuel used in ships has a high sulfur content, which will produce acidic substances after combustion. The cylinder oil with high base number can neutralize these acidic substances and prevent corrosion.
-Good lubricity: it can still provide reliable lubrication and reduce friction and wear under high temperature, high pressure and high load working conditions.
-Excellent detergency and dispersibility: It can effectively inhibit the generation of carbon deposit and sludge, and disperse the generated impurities in the oil to prevent them from depositing on the cylinder wall and piston.
-Anti-oxidation stability: under long-term high-temperature environment, it has strong ability to resist oxidation deterioration, so as to ensure the stability of oil products and prolong their service life.
Classification:
Generally, it is classified according to different base numbers. Common marine cylinder oils with low base number, medium base number and high base number are suitable for fuels with different sulfur contents. For example, when using high sulfur fuel, high base number cylinder oil is needed; When using low sulfur fuel, cylinder oil with low base number or medium base number can be selected.
