Description
Drilling oil is a kind of process oil specially used in metal drilling, which has many important functions.
-Lubrication: During drilling, drilling oil can form a lubricating film between the drill bit and the workpiece, which effectively reduces the friction coefficient between them, reduces the wear of the drill bit, improves the service life of the drill bit, and also helps to improve the drilling accuracy and surface quality.
-Cooling effect: a lot of heat will be generated during drilling, and the drilling oil can quickly absorb and take away the heat, so as to prevent the workpiece and the drill bit from deformation and annealing due to overheating and ensure the stability and accuracy of machining.
-Chip removal: Drilling oil can quickly wash away the chips generated in the drilling process, so that they can be smoothly discharged from the drilling area, avoiding the abrasion of the drill bit caused by chip accumulation or affecting the drilling quality, which is conducive to improving the processing efficiency.
Composition:
Generally composed of base oil and additives. Base oil is usually mineral oil, synthetic oil or animal and vegetable oil to provide basic lubrication and cooling performance. Additives include extreme pressure additives, antiwear additives, antirust additives, antioxidant additives, etc. to enhance the properties of drilling oil and meet the needs of different processing conditions and workpiece materials.
Classification:
According to different processing requirements and workpiece materials, drilling oil can be divided into ordinary drilling oil, high-speed drilling oil and deep-hole drilling oil. Ordinary drilling oil is suitable for general drilling processing; High-speed drilling oil has higher lubricity and coolability and is suitable for high-speed drilling technology; Deep hole drilling oil has good permeability and chip removal performance, and is specially used for deep hole drilling.
